Imagine Having a Birthday This Time of Year.........

Well, my husband is one of those lucky individuals!

Today is Ron's birthday.

It is/was usually the day his family waited for

to take down Christmas decorations and 'called it another year'.

Our little Christmas tree will be put away this evening for another year.

But not before celebrating this wonderful man's life.

I am a very fortunate guy to have met this caring and protective fella.

All I know is that I am happy I trusted my instincts back in 1973.

I/we were in the right spot at the right time and we both knew it immediately.

So this is a big THANK YOU Ron for sharing your life with me!

Oh....and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!!!

May this year take you up and down many adventurous roads.

And that your infectious enthusiasm for life remains your sole elixir.

Christmas week......

My childhood neighbourhood playground in Halifax....

'From My Perch' at the shop.....these two couldn't wait to hit the surf this week!

Everyone was walking/hiking at the park this week.....

Christmas morning......no rush to get dinner prepared as we, for the first time,

had it prepared for us at a great caterer in Halifax......will do it again.

Actually, after picking up our Christmas dinner on the 24th we stopped in to see

my sister, Mary, and her boss, Tim at their shop in the city.

Sophie was very pleased with her gift from Santa....meet Buster everyone!

a restaurant in Halifax to celebrate.....

Eclectic Tastes

This past Friday afternoon I dropped by my father's 'home'
at the veteran's hospital and he was with a group of other guys
in the sun room.
With them were two music therapists handing out musical
instruments to everyone....including me.
I chose a tambourine.

One of the therapists was playing piano and the other a mandolin.
They started with a few Christmas tunes and a couple of ones the guys requested.
We all accompanied the music with our instruments.

It was a delightful time......watching how these men responded 
each in their own way and capability.
The best time I had all week.

Not a Christmas tune today but one that obviously came to mind.....
