Never Tire

Around 4 PM yesterday afternoon, Sophie and I hopped in the car
and went down the road to MacDonald Hill.

I wanted to visit our shoppe, MCM, and see how things are going.

I took Sophie out before I went upstairs to the shoppe.
And this is what we saw from atop the hill.

One lone surfer and his board....

The fog just off shore moving in for the night.....

Actually pretty quickly......

You can see the top of MacDonald House to the right.
We are on the third floor facing this way,
which would be northwest.

Maybe you can appreciate why we never get tired of the view from here.

Ripped Off

I am always on the look out for something to photograph.

We were at a set of lights yesterday waiting for the 'light' to change,
and I noticed this lamp post to my right.
There were only the remnants of a poster that appeared to have been ripped off.

Feeling Tall At The Beach

Yesterday morning we 'three amigos' were at the beach at 7:30 AM.......
before breakfast no less! It was so good to be there.

Here are a few photos of what can be found at low tide in early June in Nova Scotia.

Corners

It was that kind of day at the beach yesterday.......

We have 'turned a corner' here along the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia.
Welcome June!

Contemplative Monday

The following quote is taken from 'Heart Advice, Weekly Quotes from Pema Chodron'.

A LITTLE TWIST

"All of life is interconnected.

If something lives, it has life force, the quality of which is energy, a sense of spiritedness.

Without that, we can't lift our arms or open our mouths or open and shut our eyes.

If you have ever been with someone who is dying, you know that at one moment,

even though it might be quite weak, there's life force there,
and then the next moment there is none.

It's said that when we die, the four elements----earth, air, fire, water----

dissolve one by one, each into the other, and finally just dissolve into space.

But while we're living, we share the energy that makes everything,

from a blade of grass to an elephant, grow and live and then inevitably wear out and die.

This energy, this life force, creates the whole world.

It's very curious that because we as human beings have consciousness,

we are also subject to a little twist where we resist life's energies."

Eclectic Tastes

My younger brother, Bernard, loved this group.
From the mid to late 60's he would be playing all their albums at home.

This one is for you, Bernard.
