Valentine's

Now that I have your attention......

On Saturday we 'found' ourselves at the Italian Market and decided to settle-in for a spell!

I will share with you our Valentine's 'pig out'!

We were mesmerized by the 'sweets' so ordered the above two chocolate selections first!

Before they arrived we figured we better have something to balance all that sugar.

Ron ordered the above Chocolate Orange Cheesecake.

I wanted to try the Chocolate Pate with raspberry sauce.

Both were 'melt in your mouth' moments!

But before we did/ate those mouth-watering treasures this is what we had first off:

We HAD to try out the 'club'!

And yes it was as good as it looks.

However, as good as it looked it was too much to eat at one sitting.

So we took half of them with us.

Besides, we needed room for the dessert!

Contemplative Monday

Eclectic Tastes

With the inspiration of one the greatest 'Rockers', that being Mick Jagger, it is no wonder that this release from last year was such a hit!


The video is very well-produced and with the lyrics and music by Adam Levine and Maroon 5, with a little help at the end from Christina Aguilera, it is a great visual and 'listen'.

Retro Saturday

The photo above was taken by a well-known Nova Scotian photographer, W.R. Macaskill.

He was primarily noted for his photos of ships and marine life. 

 But on occasion he would venture 'on land',as he did with this photo in 1926.

A Thriving Global Economy, It Appears

Another container ship sails into Halifax Harbour before nightfall.

I wonder what each of these containers is holding.

Besides an occasional 'stowaway' , I am sure they contain everything imaginable.

You see, this is just a part of the journey.

One of these may be destined to your locale, who knows?
