Me And My Shadow......

Yesterday we found ourselves in the city earlier than usual
because of an appointment Ron had.

So Sophie and I had some time to explore a favourite area of Halifax,
the Public Gardens.

And since winter finally hit us with some snow,
the Gardens were closed and we were left with
exploring from behind this fence.

It was sunny with a temperature of -8C. Sounds cold I know.
But you know what? There was no wind and it was really
quite beautiful out at 10:30 A.M.

These Gardens occupy about one large city block
and is surrounded by this very old cast iron fence.

While I was snapping photos Sophie was doing the best
she could on a short lead and would stop and sniff when I did
(stop that is, not sniff!!).

Walking the perimetre of this Victorian Garden in winter
enables one to appreciate it's beauty even this time of year.

What a fresh blanket of snow can do for a landscape!

Some of the sights to be found along a fence in the middle of winter
in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
