Saturday Morning Post.......Dingle Bells


These photos were taken along the shore of the Northwest Arm looking, where else, northwest.


This body of water stretches down one side of peninsular Halifax(click), 
the other side is Halifax Harbour.


The tower you see just left of centre is the Dingle Tower which is in Sir Sandford Fleming Park.


This was one of my favourite places to go as a child and to
climb up seemingly endless stairs to get to the top and 
see parts of Halifax that were new to me.


At the foot of the tower are two giant bronze lions (click) which
were great to climb on and fantasize about exotic places.


The city was truly our 'playground' back when it was safe for kids
to explore.
