Fresh From The Oven

Been getting into a routine of baking banana bread every week.

A few years back I found a good recipe in Fanny Farmer cookbook.

It is very easy to make and always (knock wood) turns out well.

I usually add 'things' to it, like different nuts and flavouring.

The last batch I made I added orange zest and shredded filberts.
And topped them off with sliced almonds.

The best part of this routine (besides devouring them) is that the
kitchen smells like a bakery afterwards.

Here's the recipe click here-----easy peasy!

I use half whole wheat flour and sometimes all whole wheat and they come out just as well as with all white flour. Enjoy!
