Retro Saturday

About a month ago on a Saturday morning I was driving to a grocery store to pick up a few things for Dad. I had stayed over the night before as Fridays are 'my' day to do so.

On the way to the store I noticed a 'yard sale' sign with an arrow pointing down another street in his neighbourhood. Well, being the fanatical 'collector' (notice I said 'collector' and not 'hoarder') that I am, I turned onto that street to investigate the situation.

Found the house. A woman was standing by her table which was full of stuff. From first glance I thought it was the usual.....children's clothing and toys. But, what was that at the other end of the table?

A tea set (tea pot, cream and sugar) with no price on it. I inquired. She looked at me and said that she didn't want to bring it back into the house for the umteenth time. So I could have it for $2.00. Oh yes, it was a Sadler set.

That made it look even better!!
